Sorry but I don't participate in "coulda woulda shoulda" stuff, the one thing we all know is that Nas was ready to do it and got shut down. I don't know what world you live in but power means everything on those situations, the fact that they let Nas walk away and might not have let Jay walk away as easily is a good bet, but who knows for sure? I would have forgiven Nas and still be a fan cause I think it was just in the heat of battle and an error of judgment, trying to do something controversial and just not well thought out. If I was his management I would have given him much more damaging angles and ways to approach the situation that would of hurt Jay a lot more yet reflected well on him. I don't think Nas was thinking about "hanging a black man on stage infront of white people" I don't think that was the angle, but he should have considered it... but he was younger and in a pressure filled situation looking to do something big to strike back. It was just an error of judgment.
