And hes gotta focus on making his music entertaining... whether through technical excellence or just honing his craft as a musician. As is though.... which NY cats do you speak of. I personally aint head over heels for where hip hop is at right now, but I know better than to complain about other regions getting more buzz than mine... Joey is just a dude from brooklyn. What makes him cliche? His beat selection?
Hip hop is lacking rappers with skill. That has nothing to do with cliche's or regions or any of that other bullshyt you speak of.
