The supreme court are not democrat friendly and if Biden or Obama tries to ignore the courts ruling then they lose the support of even their own party in congress

The media, despite what some believe, are not particularly democrat friendly and Trump essentially has his own state media in fox news to spin his authoritarian shyt or even not cover it

They didn't completely own democrats in congress the way trump owns republicans in congress who dances to his every whim

And then there's the voters who are hollier than thou and whose left factions are purist to the core

neither obama or Biden had all these factors working in their favour



So basically Trump is able to do this because He has the supreme court, a very friendly media (fox news), a mainstream media that are shook of him, the total support of his own party at federal and state level and finally a base that craves authoritarianism against those they deem as enemies hence why their entire motivation is based on owing the libs

Two major mistakes the Democrats made, and never recovered from. First, they left a Supreme Court seat open, banking on Hillary’s win.

Second, they couldn’t convince Ruth Bader Ginsburg to retire. She wanted the first female President to swear in her successor. But when Trump took office, she couldn’t outlast his term, handing him two Supreme Court nominations he should’ve never had, even though he won.

Ego, lack of will, and failure to prepare for possible outcomes; that’s where the Democrats utterly fell short, in my opinion. Leaving us now with a quagmire of a Supreme Court biased in favor of conservatism.
