Ya cause I never refrain from calling out suckas who speak out of their ass. And in response I see you've offered up so much detail to back your statement

What's so detailed about your statement? His family were CLEARLY upset with his money situation, hence SUEING the label.

None of what you just posted is new information to me. It was literally just his contract...

Dude . . don't move the goal post

You were just talking about how bad his deal was.

His estate sued over the accounting issues, which is exactly what I said in my original post. To which you responded with a continued assertion that it wasn't a "great" deal

so now you're saving face and when originally you had zero details to offer in defense of your statement - you were talking out of your ass

This here folks . . . he tried to talk slick about my rep and ending up being exposed :sas1:

You don't play with Wally like that :mjpls:

My initial post was that his family were upset with his deal (wrong wording if I meant "money", I guess). That point still stands (if you just change the word to what I meant). 2Pac was immediately owed approximately $12,000,000 for All Eyez on Me; that is what his Death Row contract explicitly stated.

Afeni’s court case against Death Row spells it out. He was supposed to have at least $17,000,000 from record sales alone. Even with all Death Row's accounting and fabricated charges they could only come up with $7,107,186.74 payable. So that leaves them owing him $9,892,814.

That's not only "accounting issues". She sued for missing royalties too. Have you even read the lawsuit?

I never tried to say his deal was "bad", I just said it wasn't "great". Which could still mean it was "good".

Yes, hypothetically you would be right had you said something else. And you didn't say "bad" but you said it wasn't "great" which could still mean good . . . :comeon:

this dude is trying to grasp onto technicalities now

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

anyway, I'm done thrashing you - now back on subject

$12,000,000 is that what they said in the suit? Let's say sales revenue for All Eyez on Me was $100 million, which sounds like a lot off of 3 million copies but you must keep in mind that album was retailing at nearly $30 . . Tupac would've been entitled to $20 million off his 20 points, a boisterous year by any standard . . now you have to account for his expenses (this is where the Death Row accounting department gets creative)

On top of that you have the Makaveli album . . $12 million? That's possible but to be an accurate amount of what he's owed he would've been spending like a wild man

This discussion is clearly going nowhere, so I'm just going to stop replying after this.

Afeni’s court case against Death Row - which you refer to - spells it out clearly. He was immediately owed $12,000,000 for All Eyez on Me. This is what his Death Row contract explicitly stated. He was then was entitled to an advance of $5,000,000 for turning in the Makaveli album due to the sales numbers for AEOM.

We arrive at a number of $17,000,000 owed, according to the lawsuit. Include all of Death Row's accounting and fabricated charges, etc. and we have $7,107,186.74 payable to Death Row by 2Pac. Thus we arrive at $9,892,814 at least owed at the time of his death, by their own accounting, according to the lawsuit.

*I think the royalties 2Pac was screwed out of from the get-go were mechanical royalties by the way.

"Nobody respects a man who don't do for himself. I'm a soldier; so I'm here on Death Row to put my time into this army. It's not like they got me out of jail and now I gotta do for them. It's that they believed in me, so I believe in this company when no one else will. When people said this was played out. I'm breathin' into it. I don't give a fukk if I don't get along with anybody else on the label. This is for Death Row. When it comes to the point when I feel it can stand on its own, I will move on. But me and Suge will always do business together, forever."

Straight from the horse's mouth two weeks before his death.

The rumours of him leaving Death Row stem from his family being angry he got a raw deal with the label.

Yeah ..

May he rest in peace but big Frank definitely started a lot of these rumours about Pac leaving Deathrow when he wrote his book.

Tupac wasn't going nowhere :mjlol: I swear to god after Pac died Afeni tried to make Suge the devil, started making shyt up like Pac was leaving DR when he wasn't, then these irrelevant DR artists and associates started to make up stories saying Pac was angry at Suge and was leaving when in reality they were showing their hatred/predicament with DR and Suge through Pac's tragedy. nikkas believed this overnight.

Ayo Nomad you seem like something of a Pac historian so I want to ask you about this.

You bring up Afeni. I remember reading somewhere that Afeni mistreated Pac as a kid because she despised his father (told Pac his whole life he was dead when he really wasn't), also hated how Pac was more light skinned than her and her other children, and pretty much disowned him up until he became a famous rapper.

:whoa: Not tryna speak on something I don't know or be disrespectful to her :dame:

Just wondering how true this is. If anyone else knows, feel free to chime.

:mjpls: I heard this before on a 2pac site, and of course Pac's father talked about this. He said that Afeni and the fam would diss him but all that changed when he got that contract :mjpls: imma let @Kieran address this one
