I already mentioned Monk.

I do suggest another front court player, mainly because it's a situation they have to sort out anyway. Now they're on phase 2: consolidating and picking once and for all who their primary core of guys will be moving forward.

Ok, Embiid is one correct, Simmons another and I don't know if you've seen Saric play this year but dude is legit. There you have a center, power forward and a small forward. Why keep wasting lotto picks and just start taking guards now. Fox has really good potential and I don't know where your getting this he can't play with Simmons from there both unselfish players and there shots and skill sets will only improve from here. Not only that but monk and fox have good chemistry already so you don't have to worry about that and Calipari track record on recruiting is top notch. Your better off pulling a warriors and thunder and drafting by position so your picks don't cannibalize each other.

Simmons in their world is gonna be used as their PG on offense. If you bring in Fox only to have him run off to a corner while Simmons tries to create, it's a waste of Fox's abilities. If you wanna double dip on guards, go ahead, but find one that complements Simmons instead of one that overlaps him. If Simmons wasn't there, Fox would fit in great, but what you don't want is a situation like the one with Noel/Embiid/Saric/Okafor where they know one or two of them have to go and everyone knows it.

Ball is way better based off IQ alone.

Are you just saying that based off your impressions of Ball without knowing a thing about Ntilikina?

Every single thing I've heard from guys who know his game is that his bball IQ is fantastic. On both ends too. He's playing the point as an 18-year-old against much older European players - it's an environment where I think the opportunities to have your basketball IQ grow and be tested are a lot higher than where Ball has been playing most of the last three years. I haven't heard a single bad thing about his bball IQ.

Not saying that Ball's basketball IQ is poor...but I don't see how you can say it is "way better" than Ntilikina to the point that it outweighs Ntilikina's better defense and shot mechanics.

They're actually similar players in a lot of ways - both long, both skinny, both have average athleticism (at least in terms of first-step burst and strength), both have high bball IQ, both are pass-first but can hit the outside shot, both can play defense. Both could be 3-and-D guys who will also run the offense around the perimeter without necessarily being able to get inside and create regularly. I just like Ntilikina's defensive commitment better and absolutely hate Ball's shot mechanics. And I don't trust that family at all.

I dunno about the whole Simmons being a 3 thing. He looked big at the 4 in college and has gained weight since then. Also Covington is probably a top 5-8 3&D guy in the entire league. He is an elite role player.
