If rappers don't write their own rhymes, rapping becomes meaningless

It definitely irks me when I find out a rapper doesn't write his own shyt...

I can understand bouncing ideas off others or getting some help on a hook. But if you aren't writing them 16s then where is your rapping talent? I can't feel nothing you say because you ain't write that shyt.

I like Kanye but I can't consider him a top 10 rapper, a top 10 rap artist yes... But if you a nice rapper you should be able to spit on the spot, with no beat... It's another reason I don't consider Drake a top rapper.. I've never seen a video of him freestyling or spitting off the dome or anything organic. It's all studio work

I used rock b/c everybody knows Bruce Spingsteen the same way everyone knows Jay Z.

And Springsteen is basically to rock fans what Jay is to most real rap fans.
