I'd give it to AJ because he's a guy that can get the most out of any opponent and he's pretty popular right now. I'd have Cena chase AJ for a while but ultimately branch Cena off into another feud and keep AJ as champion so they can have two important feuds on SD! going. Give people reason to tune in on Tuesdays and they will.

If you give it to Lesnar, you're basically making SmackDown the same show its been for the past 6 years. WWE is actually trying to make SmackDown important again. Give it to Lesnar and the audience will tune out once again.

AJ/KO could be the new Angle/Brock if done right.

Actually aj would have to carry ko, tho.
Ko was never on the top flight level of the jndy heroes who saved wrasslin like aj was.
Ko was a tag specialist at best who needed the feud with generico from roh tv and their tag run to catch any light as a singles guy.
Aj needs to just be the Japan clique and pretty much cheat to win on smack down with the title.
All because nobody in the WWE who is shackled by the smashmouth me style can really hang with him.

The shield would need to be reformed and then you could run with the whole reigns chase after aj.
As you could play the smashmouth power angle for reigns verses the lighter aj.


Ko could be the champ over smack down, if they condense smack down to mostly roh and nxt guys with cena there as an outlier is their best bet for smack down.
On raw you could have all the new Gen hopefull main event stars like aj to Rollins and Ambrose mixed together.

Imo, aj/ ko has no fan connectivity to draw in a WWE context as a world title main promotion direction based program.
