If Ross wasn't exposed he'd be an EVEN BIGGER rap artist. Yay/Nay?

Would Ross be even bigger today without the C.O. incident?

Let I'm so hood come on and see what happens:ufdup:...Plies verse is sung in unison, what about Plies verse on Lose My Mind?Plies verse on Wasted? The nikka had some memorable verses and outshined Ross on every song they been on:russ:...Plies was gettin Pac comparisons before he decided to shamlessly crossover and go for the ladies and not feed the streets:snoop:....Plies sold gold his first two albums too and Dro did on his first I believe.....and guess what, both had a fraction of the promotion Ross had when they tried pushing him down our throats for a whole year, feature after feature, hottest mc list, puffy aaaalll in the videos comparin him to biggie:laff:....my point wasn't that they are bigger stars...my point was rappers of they ilk had more superstar potential than Ross and a push and marketing dollars would've been better spent on them all bias aside,Ross ceiling was always lower....some rappers just have more memorable performances on wax than others, and lyrical ability has shyt to do with it....show me a nikka who don't know quotables fromDro on Shoulder Lean,or his verse on Top Back where he outshined ATL's finest at the time:ohlawd:...these are legendary:manny:....Ross ain't got verses like that

I will give you Dro on shoulder lean, and plies on wasted that's it, that the closest thing to a legendary verse he has ever had.

Who don't know huslin, who don't know BMF, come on now. That whole BMF song is memorable

Honestly Ross is just better than them nikkas, it's not because of no imaginary push that forced nikkas to like him. He was putting out better music that the masses were feeling at the time. That's why Ross is here and plies is not.

No doubt he's a better artist, and at the end of the day he got a product his fans feel like they can trust....a lot of nikkas can't say that....but as a rapper?nah I don't see superstar talent and that's why he hasn't gon to the next level...he has consistently done about the same thing numbers wise on every album....from when he wuz hardly gettin a push,to when they gave him that faaar from "imaginary" "oooh oooh love rick ross y'all" push....no matter how much they push,no matter how many songs he feature on,his ceilin is what it is.....Some nikkas gotta be Iverson but sumbody gotta be Lamar Odom....not even sayin one is better than the other, the great artist usually stand the test of time over sumbody who has superstar rap ability but is lacking the ability to make good albums, bcuz eventually even superstar rap ability gets repetetive and not a must see....if Dro and plies wasn't lackin in the quality department after the first couple projects I see no reason they couldna done what Ross hhas done as they had more superstar rap ability....plies I'm not sure of today, but Dro will still outshine ross 9 times outta 10 on a track:manny:

Dro outshine Ross?

Ross has outshined some very talented artists on wax breh. When he outshined Kool G Rap on the white sand remix back in 2010 I was :wow:

At this point, between him going on his 6 solo and third compilation (not to mention the solo artists that have dropped projects under his umbrella) you have to recognize the greatness. Ross is great

So what he won't do Ludacris, T.I. Nelly, 50cent, Numbers from last decade

BUT THIS DECADE those artists I named ^ are all gold artists just like he is. Nelly may not even be that anymore. Lil Wayne & Kanye West's last projects were gold projects

Ross is one of the biggest artists if not biggest doing it today. Your doing him an injustice comparing him to Lamar Odom or Allen Iverson

Not to mention, the numbers talk when associated with Ross is always brought up to discredit him. Ignore all of his achievements/consistency and focus on the fact that Trilla is 100K away from being platinum

Dro more lyrical, more one liners, more quotables:ohlawd:...unless its a verse where some depth is required I don't see Ross fairing too well both at there best:manny:

And u can't be serious sayin its a insult to compare him to Iverson:aicmon:?Ross never and will never have the impact AI had on the game and on the fans...but he's had a long career for a rapper ,puts up respectable numbers, but a superstar player?...as Stephen A would say absolutley ridiculous:comeon:?...we talkin bout first ballot shyt here:win:

And u can't put Ross on those guys level just becuz they gold artist NOW:wtb:...I see your point sales ain't the same as they once were.....but impact doesn't lie...those guys had big impact songs, big impact verses, big impact moments, and sales to match it....no matter the sales climate that always remains the same....Jcole and Wale doin numbers too, would u consider them superstars?

Ross isnt a superstar but it's honestly like only 5 or 6 rappers that are, tip and jeezy aint even superstars no more.

And Ross would'nt be odom, odom underachieved Ross overachieved, no one thought he would be around this long. No one thought MMG would be successfull, how many labels have put out three compilation albums...Ruff Ryders?
More than likely he wont become a superstar sales wise but he is def in a good position.

I could agree with that and say he over achieved a lot ,from what he was supposed to be which was a one hit wonder in the beggining.....but the ammount of hype and push he got later pre GFID,u could say he underachieved same way Odom did.....both got hyped up to be sumthin they never were supposed to be according to actual proof, which u can say ain't fair...but it happened and they didn't live up to it
