If somebody cheats on you why bother to confront them about it?

This is something I never understood. Every time I hear about somebody doing it I cringe. Confronting a cheater accomplishes nothing, confronting the person they cheated with is even more pointless.

Either you'll accept the cheating and continue dealing with them or you won't. If you can't accept it just dump them with no explanation.

Granted, the relationship is dead if I find out my s/o cheated but I would also like to know why no matter how bad the answer is. I don't care about the other person unless it was someone close to me and if so I'm looking at them too.

It's probably better for your self-esteem to not even dig deeper. Especially if you're the type of person who has issues moving on.

When I found out my bf cheated I didn't need to know why, like what is that really gonna do or change? Didn't even break up with him, just blocked his number and kept it moving, cried about it with my sister and put it to rest.

Once the level of cheating has been reached you're basically disposable to the cheater. They don't really care what you think because if they valued your opinion why would they be cheating in the first place?
