It

Its over for Democracy. If he can attempt to pull off a coup without charges and still manage to become president he'll appoint more conservative federal judges, impose a national abortion ban, stoke right wing violence (which will become so frequent that it'll go unreported), deregulate all polluting industries, dismantle institutions that strengthen democracy, give more tax breaks to the wealthy, and go all out to ensure permanent minority rule.
There's really nothing stopping him at that point. He'll be more vengeful and see it as a greenlight/mandate to go full authoritarian.

On international front he'll pull out of NATO. Putin will take Ukraine and invade all NATO backed Baltic countries risking nuclear conflict. And China will see the political turmoil in the US as an opportunity to invade Taiwan.
This should be a fukkin movie :picard:

We see the world from two different lenses. I'm saying Biden had an opportunity to do more when he got in office when Dems controlled Congress. Student loans was a campaign promise. Instead he made his move after republicans took control knowing how they would respond. My position is pretty simple. More could have been done earlier during his tenure as President.

Stop with the vague shyt. You said more could have been done.

1) What is the more that you’re referring to that Biden and Biden could have done?

2) Given the resistance to the 10-20k that Biden tried to forgive, why do you think a bigger forgiveness would have been successful?

3) Why aren’t you blaming congress for not sending Biden a bill to sign with bigger forgiveness?

4) Why aren’t you blaming congressional republicans for supporting it?

5) What are your thoughts on Republicans literally voting to repeal Biden’s last round of pauses and to charge back interest?

6) What do you think Trump/ DeSantis will do with student loans? Do you think either of those men will take better action on student loans than Biden? Do you think student loan borrowers will be better off under Biden, Trump, or DeSantis?

What are we warring over?

Hard to call it a civil war. There would be no real sides. Just mass widespread frequent violence. And sure you'd have your various groups that stand for whatever whether Democrat or Republican, hate groups, etc. But mf's are so angry and frustrated you can expect them to just be over it and take it to the first person or group they see that opposes their views or that they view as any sort of opposition whether it be fists, hammers, axes, guns....

Whatever it is, control will be lost quickly. Sure mf's may get a permit to parade, or protest and mfs aren't going to care. The violence won't change anything, no party will really gain or lose anything, just lots of injuries and death because people are fed up and need to get it out of their system. Schools will probably close, shyt businesses will be closed or shutdown...it will be anarchy and chaos.

States will start to secede. I especially see California saying "nah. We out" it will be the end of the union. Southern states already basically want to function as completely independent countries. It's not a stretch to see the United States as we know it dissolving. I can see NY and Cali trying to merge with Canada if not just deciding they're independent and leaving. If Trump tries to force them to be part of the union through military action, I can see the European Union funding them to fight back and resist Ukraine style.

They can try, but they aren’t leaving or separating from shyt. Cali would get washed vs the other 40 states that they’d have to fight. I say only 40 because there’s at least nine that would either stay neutral or take California’s side. Not even mentioning Cali issues like their huge deficit, drug addiction, homelessness, and extreme wealth gap.

Also, besides SD, LA, and The Bay, the rest of the state is RED. There’d be a Civil War and chaos within Cali that they’d have to deal with too.

The DNC will fund raise off another Trump presidency. The media will rake in tons of dough like they did during Trump's first term. If we lived through 2 terms of GW Bush whom I easily consider the nation's worst president, we'll make it through another 4 years of Trump.

If he won, I'd go media silent for 4 years. When he was president, it was as if no news happened at all that didn't involve him for 4 years. Would not look to another Trumpcentric 4 years of news coverage.
Basically this. Part of the reason I can't stand Trump is because people (for or against) wouldn't shut the fukk up about him. I don't want another 4 years of that.

I don't say anything about republicans because they are pretty honest about their stance and they usually follow through with it. I don't agree with them but it's pretty obvious where they stand. To answer your questions:
1. Biden helped create this student loan problem. He could have done things like reduce the interest rate or forgive the interest rate amounts. That's the real problem with these loans. Considering interest isn't money the government didn't lend out, it's doable. Also, create more work incentives like that state and federal government that forgives loans after working 10+ years in the sector. Things like that.
2. He used an executive order. He knew that wasn't going to pass. That's my issue.
3. Same as #2. Congress wasn't involved with his executive order.
4. Like I said, earlier. I don't blame republicans cause we all know where they stand. It's like people buy a dog and getting upset it barks at night. They do what they do.
5. Same as #2
6. Not a damn thing.
