People who were promised the $10-$20k forgiveness isn't getting shyt. For #5 in your explanation, no he didn't stretch his power. Democrats had control of Congress when Biden got elected and he could have dealt with the issue then. This goes beyond student loans though. Biden doesn't excite anyone and most voted cause they didn't want Trump. They cared less about Biden. Also no one is excited about K. Harris either. Democrats are not even getting their base a chance by selecting another candidate in the nominations. I know we disagree but I don't see Biden doing it again. Also, neither one of us know exactly what the hell the electoral college is thinking.
Na nikka. You said student loans. So we sticking to the student loan argument. Stay on topic.
Biden took action on the issue. That 10-20k would have wiped out a significant minority of student loan debt. The average student loan debt in the US is like 30k. Biden killing 2/3 of the average debt is huge. It’s the grad school folks with the monster balances. Biden has put in substantial work.
And Biden is the god damn president. He doesn’t write legislation. He said he’d sign it if it came across his desk. Blame Congress, not Biden for not having that legislation. And look at what a Republican controlled house did. They passed a bill retroactively canceling the last pause, and charging back interest.
When you respond if you do (I don’t think you will), please compare and contrast Biden’s efforts on student loans with the party that literally just tried to make us pay back interest payments
