In addition to removing all the anti-Jewish propaganda and boycott orders, they treated all foreign dignitaries with great respect. This is in alignment with their foreign policy in the mid 30's of always presenting a peaceful and friendly front while rapidly expanding their military capabilities.

You can see the same rationale in Hitler's withdrawal from the League of Nations in 1933. He offered to completely disarm Germany if the rest of the European powers agreed to do the same. When they refused, which of course they were going to, Hitler could then justify pulling out of the negotiations and initiating rearmament. He used the same strategy in dealing with the Rhineland, Austria, and Czechoslovakia. Hell, it's exactly why Britain pursued their appeasement policy. Chamberlain believed the peaceful front Hitler constantly put forth.

It stands to reason that thats exactly what he was doing with Owens as well. I'm not sure you can discount all the documented evidence of Nazi disdain for blacks simply by the highly publicized interaction with Owens, considering the obvious propaganda advantages that interaction offered.

Most people don't realize how difficult it is to protect your children from having to be indoctrinated, scouted, and exploited by the school system.
If your kids don't go they imprison them. If you don't send them they imprison you. If they try and leave, they are restrained or the police are called.
They need permision to relieve themselves, passes to walk down halls. They are given numbers strings to identify them, they are sorted and processed soon as they get there.
Punished and tracked for insubordination.

Now that the schoold have metal detectors and armed police its basically a mid-level juvenille detention facility.

The reason schools and prisons are both overcrowded is because they get paid the same way by the government. Thats why they do head counts (attendance) each morning.

Homeschool is set up so that most people, especially poor people, and non-conformists cannot obtain the legal permits and exemptions to be able to do so.
