That sounds beautiful and all but her "own sexual urges, actions and opinions" is ultimately besides the point and I could care less. My concern is that I know there are predators(no I'm not referring only to rapist) out there looking to pounce be it them going through a phase or whatever. I don't completely disagree with you, but the role and influence of a father is a little different from other males. It's not so much about the sex as it is hoping your child just makes moral and intelligent decisions. Generally those types of decisions involve less sex, if any at all. There's a lot that goes along with a lot of sex that you hope your child is informed enough to avoid, to some extent.
STDs (permanent and otherwise), unplanned children, rape, etc. As a father of two daughters, it worries the hell out of me. But at some point I'll just have to hope they make good decisions and let go.
