A -->hearing<-- is just that. It's to put information out in the public eye. From there it goes to the DOJ. The DOJ handles indictments. Information gathered from the hearings is given to the DOJ.

I see this question a lot and it blows my mind. Since when is a hearing a court session? The name is literally HEARing.

that's a real narrow minded way of looking at it. This is bigger than him.

whether or not he gets charged is irrelevant. The aim of the committee is to get the truth out. To get the full story on the record, for history to document. They dont have the power to charge anybody anyway. Why would you think its a waste of time? Would you rather have had all of this unknown information to remain covered up?

Sure a lot of us want to see that b*stard go to jail, but if I cant have that, I want to know the full story of what happened and just wtf he and his crooked friends were doing.

If he skates over this like he did the impeachments, he's Teflon and 2023 up until election year will be peak fukkery and entertainment. I already got my popcorn and seat ready. Not to mention how this will embolden white nationalists and staunch republicans, the wave will be undeniable and the left would need to put something solid together based on policy and results, they'll need a true official candidate. DeSantis may run interference to try to break past the Trump crowd, Josh Hawley is another one who may run as well. All in all, republicans may go at each other but that may strengthen the base regardless. It will become dog eat dog on that end, we already see how Pence is getting done.
Democrats may trot Gavin Newsom out there as a credible candidate since he's about the only one with good chances, and I think it would be extremely close. Biden won't be there for a second round, they need someone younger. If Trump skates past this, Kamala and Hillary won't be enough. What you're saying may actually break the democratic party. These hearings seem like a straw that will break the camel's back.
Going into 2024 name recognition will be everything, and Trump has been in the news and I think that may be what tips him in again.

I don't think Trump will go to jail from this (although I think we've seen enough for at least charges to be brought) I'll accept Trump not being able to run for President or any office again.

After all of these hearings how in the hell is he eligible to run or hold any office in the United States of America? It's mindboggling that they are saying he will run in 2024 and no one is saying how is that possible. Isn't there some kind of criteria for this shyt?
