Timothy Theodore Duncan is the GOAT PF and if he wins a 6th ring, he'll move up into top 4 NBA player all time on my list behind MJ, Magic and Bird. Actually think you could place him top 3 above Bird if you wanted to...you could make an argument for it.

edit: Kobe fukked himself beefing with Shaq. He coulda racked up rings with him and let Shaq naturally go flabby while he ascended to being the man and grabbing the MVPs like Wade was able to do in 06. How does Tim being on a championship team this season enhance his legacy? If you didn't already have him there, nothing he does this season in his limited capacity as a player should enhance his overall standing as an all-time great.

He's had a more successful career than most, but I'd take mad players over him head-up, because they were better than Tim in their respective primes.

No one was a bigger sports fan & STAN than me in my childhood breh. Arguing with 80s Giants fans on why the Jets were better , holding onto the belief steadfastly that this is finally the year that the Mattingly/ Winfield Yankees put it together and take the town away from the Mets ...

But those early 90s MSG teams had my heart & confidence like no other. When the 92 Rangers entered the playoffs as the hands down favorite to win their first Cup since 1940 but got ousted in the 2nd round by Pittsburgh, I cried myself to sleep. When Charles Smith happened the following spring, my reaction was rinse and repeat.

Luckily I started playing HS football just a few months later and chicks began to develop curves, so I didn't have time to be a STAN of any team anymore lol

This is why I can't take the rings crowd seriously. So being carried to a ring this year would somehow make Tim (who's already better than Kobe or Bron or anyone else since Mike) better? All this talk of rings and Bird and his 3 rings is top 3?
