No other website provides information at a speed like twitter. It is great for following sports events, news, etc. I know there is a lot of toxic stuff on it but if you avoid it, its great.

It's the ability to retweet people.
You can't do that on IG. The only other place you can even do that is on Tumblr with the reblog feature.

Facebook and Instagram ARE NOT better than Twitter!
:hhh:

Twitter still built backwards, where you read the answer someone responds with
before you even know what they are actually addressing

never understood why they cant reverse that

the quote-reply was a feature demanded by users because thats how they used it, they regularly screenshotted tweets and commented on them.

The man isn't a complete fool. He's just entitled and reckless. He has his new toy, he will play with it, take it apart and put it back together as many times as he has to in order to fully understand it. And he can afford to do it even at the risk of alienating a few advertisers.

The real problems start when he understands the dimensions of what he bought. All this social-media-addict-withdrawal noise is beside the point.
Yet another white man being given the benefit of the doubt.

He's driving the platform into the ground and you're to stupid to figure out that the writing is on the wall.

You can look at sites like Yahoo and MySpace. Websites that didn't get worse than what they are but simply failed to keep up. They became obsolete.

Twitter has pulled a Tumblr. It is fukked.

To be fair, the users who demanded that should not have been listened to because it is dumb as fukk. Twitter always been confusing as hell to me for no reason.

Why is Elon doing this? It makes no sense to me.
monetary or otherwisw

He doesn't want to pay for the cloud bill twitter was using. Their servers are being run by :hamster: power and they don't have enough hamsters. It's like rolling blackouts when it is too hot and everyone in the city has their AC turned up to the max.

quote -replies make a lot more sense when you understand that they're for commentary purposes rather than merely answering someone's question. people comment on a picture, video or even someone's statement. it's not used primarily for answering questions.
