I am expecting a big year from Vick this year in a Chip Kelly fast paced, Run heavy, read option offense..... He fits better with what Chip is trying to do.

his system is tailor made for him. he has to be better with kelly than he has the last 2 years. i think they will do well enough to compete for the division crown this season with no team being heads and shoulders above the others.

I feel vick is in a lose/lose situation. Unless he plays horrible in the first 2 preseason games & foles looks like prime montana he(vick) will be the starter week 1. Problem is his leash will be very short. If the eagles start out 0-2, 0-3 & vick is turning the ball over he will be benched quick. The narrative so many "eagle fans" use is he can't read defenses but the bigger question is did reid fail him by not upgrading the offense & did he play to vick's strengths?

For the record I'm a die hard 'skins fan since '91(last superbowl) & I've seen around my way people making fun of the eagles QB situation but we shouldn't laugh too hard. Shanny wasn't completely sold on RGIII to begin with & cousins played great in relief(even though it was brief). So if his knee isn't 100% or if he gets hurt again, RGIII smiles will turn to frowns because fans will turn on him like they did doug williams & jason campbell, especially if cousins plays good again in his absence...

Not race baiting but the leash on black QB's in the NFL are incredibly short. You have the panthers GM saying cam has to put up, not sure if he's the future, vick's issues, cousins lingering over RGIII etc.. But guys like carson palmer can get jobs, phillip rivers has underachieve since he was drafted, tony romo etc.. Where's the heat on stafford & matt ryan??? I just see a double standard that's been going on for the last two decades.

The Eagles problems on the offensive side the past two years was not only the O line but it was the the general offensive scheme... Andy Reid or who ever was was calling the offensive plays was a major problem, they did not adjust to fit what Mike Vick does best



Since 2010, I have rarely seen Vick switch up an offensive play.... he usually gets the play call and follows the play..... Vick is not a field general like Brady, and Manning....... never was and he likely will never be.

There were some truths but the bad logic in your post is comparing Brady and Manning to Vick? Why would you compare the so called elite to Vick to make a point when their are 29 other QBs who do not compare either.....You could have used Eli, Flacco or Big Ben as a barometer but I guess that would have made Vick look a little bit bit better than you really wanted too and on top of that, no where did you mention the Eagle' s porous defense.

If I remember correctly he only had Roddy for 1 yr, and we not gon' mention that terrible Atlanta scheme? Where is D-Jax now? We not gon' talk about how many balls that nikka dropped in the playoffs? Maclin? Is Celek anything more than a journeyman TE? I'll give you Shady, but again, you cannot compare the two offensive units. Roy f*ckin' Williams was a 4th option on that Dallas team, their RB position is usually 3 players deep.

But the Cowboys don't run the ball despite that having the personnel for it. Romo covers up for the shytty playcalling, he's just not
'clutch' I'm just comparing Vick's years since Romo became the starter. Can't account for Vick being in jail but by almost every possible metric and stat, Romo has been the better QB.

Apparently guys like stafford, romo, and Big Ben ain't shyt but they have multiple years with better numbers than Vicks best year.
