If Flair is saying that whatever Vince chooses to push hard would be number one, then he's right. I'm just saying that Vince probably would never have chosen to push a Horsemen-style act as his main draw.
He did business the brain busters and flair in SIMILAR times and I'm sure he could've gotten all 3 at the same time, managed by heenan. In 91-93 if he made an offer to them and he cared to, they would've flipped and formed the horsemen, with Heenan playing the role of JJ

Hulkamania was in full swing by the time the Horseman became an official group so there was no way Vince would have pushed them over Hogan.
Ric been dipping in the sherry again.

1980's Hulk Hogan was just the right combination of Charisma, Steroids and Cocaine... I don't see any act taking his limelight.

Californ-i-a by way of BK
Flair is delusional with this

And Hulk Hogan was already the biggest star in Wrestling before he even came to the WWF

Hulk Hogan while he was in the AWA was by far the biggest draw in the US. Hulkamania had already began by then. Flair is bugging.

The best thing about the Horsemen is that they were about the city and the bright lights. They were marketed as V.I.P. lounge types who could crack your skull if shyt got really real. The Andersons had a little bit of that southern style to them but not too much... Arn worked well with Tully in WWF so I see no reason why northeast crowds wouldn't have eaten it up. they were huge in Chicago.

The only shyt from JCP that wouldn't have worked up east was the real SOUTHERN WRASSLIN cowboy shyt they were doing... great for those crowds but up here in the east it'd get slept on.

One of the best things that came from 99 was when Hogan threw bleach in his eyes and we never saw him again.

Thanks, Hogan. :blessed:

LOL....Hogan generated more revenues in two matches (mania 3, mania 5), than those 4 generated in their whole careers. LOL @ Hogan jobbing to any of them.

These hypothetical situations are always funny because you can say anything (and sound halfway reasonable) if you say it right. Pushing the Horsemen over Hogan would mean that Vince would have to change his entire approach in the 80s and I don't see it happening. Hogan was the perfect guy for that role and I can't think of anyone or group that could have reasonably replaced him....

I never listened to a Double-A promo :ohhh:

 fire up the youtube

Flair's point is dope in that the in ring stuff the Horsemen were doing wouldn't have been able to be brushed over

I just don't know how the Horsemen as those of us who loved the group know them woulda worked in the superhero larger than life, family friendly character driven WWF. The drinking, the women, half the shyt the said in their promos and did to their opponents that made them great woulda been tough to sell on WWF Superstars/Tuesday Night Titans etc in the mid 80's when they were truly at their best

Now the 90's different story, cats were getting Voodoo curses and slapping women and shyt like that on saturday mornings Superstars by then
