If we're keeping it 100, people expect TOO MUCH out of a $60 video game

As a consumer you should always demand more for your money...

The only two devs that I feel I get my moneys worth from is CD projekt RED (Witcher) and Rockstar Games...Max Payne 3 wasn't even your typical 40+ hour Rockstar game yet I still felt like I got my moneys worth...I don't even need a trailer for that new RDR, its already copped...If it was $80 it still would be copped on day one no complaints because I know I'm going to get stupid hours of content in that game...

I don't even consider any other devs in the industry AAA...Those two studios are that far and above the rest...What CDPR did with that DLC drop for Witcher put the entire industry to shame...These cats dropped a $25 "DLC" that legit could of been sold for $60 as a new game with all the content they put on it...

Meanwhile UBI and EA charging nikkas $15 for 3 new gun skins...

No more excuses for these wannabe studios claiming to be "AAA"...

The standard has been set, If you can't meet it...

Yeah Activision too is Notorious for false product placement hollow ass games... Ever since the end of ME3 I gave up on EA I was just done, UBISOFT too. they blatantly lied at E3 with watch dogs...

$60 is 1/5 the cost of the hardware. Also a game like Horizon cost close to $50 million to make. Hollywood movies cost way more than that to make and the end product sells for far less.

depends on the game. A great sports game, yes. GTA series, yes.

But some other games are useless once you beat them.

But I see your point tho. I will disagree b/c in the PSOne era of 39.99 games, we got some greats.

How long does it take you to beat them though?

Movies average about 90 minutes and go for $15 per view. The average game takes between 20-30 hours to beat the first time. You could spend a whole weekend playing just one play through. That game could be the worst and still yield hours of gameplay.

Gamers eat well off this shyt if we're being honest.

many campaign modes are shorter than they used to be. they are no longer providing a full fledged experience in both single and multi player like they used to back in the day. we will probably start seeing no campaign in new shooters in a couple years

fighting games are putting more characters behind the pay wall, so it is hard to say their cost is really $60
