Better than John :yeshrug:
:francis:

I dont know. Patron = Boss in french. It's a common term of endearment among people from french speaking countries. We call eachother that but it's not a damn name you name a chils

I worked with a older cat named patron when I was at UPS
See above

My girl worked at a daycare and there's kids named Idris now.

How can you call yourself a man, and let a woman name your seed after another man :snoop:
Whats wrong with Idris.

No matter what your name is unless your mom imagined it you were named after another man. You maynot know said man but its a name she heard, liked and decided to use. Would you have a problem if she named the kid Mohamed? Jesus? Georges? Toussaint? John?

Dude I went to Job Corps wity named his daughter Alize and his son Makaveli. :francis:
Those are actual names. But i see what you're saying. But understant that before Rap made them famous they were still names. So if Rap decides to make "Michael" famous are we to just stop naming kids Michael?

There is a difference between Machiavelli which is a name and Makaveli which was the spelling of how 2Pac used the name as an alias.

Alize is a french name. Some of you people, Jesus Lord.

So is croissant nikka you missing the point
I see your point @Willie but like i said you cant let a companiy's use of a name dissuade you from naming your child that name.

I understand your point that SOME people probably didnt even know it was an actual name and were trying to name their kid after a damn drink but still

And by the way in french Alize is pronounced more like AHL-EASE

Sometimes i wonder if maybe black americans just love to prefix names with DE
  • Devante
  • DeSean
  • DeShawn
  • DeAnthony
  • D'Angelo
  • D'Brickashaw
  • DeBri
  • DeAndre
  • DeMario
  • DeMichael
  • DeMarcus
  • DeMarre
  • DeWayne
Mostly traditional names with "de" added to them :deadmanny:
But we all got our own obsession. With Haitians it's "Son". Hood haitians love to name their kids with names ending in "SON" dikkenSon. Mackenson. Mickenson. Nikenson. MackSon. SonSon (yes you read that right):russ:

Y'all swear white ppl names the only acceptable names. Clowns
Darling we're just saying that the "creativity" needs to be kept under control.

There are rich Africans named Price.

Prince Amukamara
Prince Shembo
etc.
I'm trying to see your point. The point we're making is that it's not a "traditional" name. Regardless of where they are from people do come up with these names that are a little too creative or just things they name their kids after. Prince is a title. Always has been. If it's okay to name a kid Prince just because it sounds cute then why stop there? How about we name him King. Or President? Or Minister. Or Ambassador? or Prince?

Oh.. wait

Mercedes, Porshe,

Right? There are millionaires named Prince and Devante. A name is just a name and has no bearing on a child's future.
We're just saying the "creativity" has to be kept under control

Would you have a problem with someone naming their son Tupac Just because Afeni Shakur had names her son that first and he went on to become famous?

Y'all are talking about stereotypical "Black" names, but what about the trend amongst whites to name their kids last names…..Foster, Blake, Finnigan, Anderson, Conner….shyt's ridiculous.
Because this is obviously about black people. We can only control what we do. fukk what they're doing/

Despite what people say there arent that many white people on the coli/
