For instance, most names beginning with "De" have French roots.

Tyrone is an Irish name. Etc.

And DAngelo and Idris weren't the first people with those names.

Those "French roots" mean someone took a preposition in Latin that was used back in the day to note a family's origins and tacked it onto a first name

DeMarcus does not have French roots it's not a bad name, but it's purely American. But it's funny because a lotta francophone people are naming their kids Brandon and shyt today
