If you accept Scarface (1983) film for what it is, it’s a good movie at best

Weren't they supposed to remake this with Micheal B Jordan as Tony or something?

My slow ass kept on calling Tony — Castro :russ:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
The scene where his sister gets shot but not before screaming "fukk me now tony!" Is still unsettling and weird asf because it makes you wonder if Tony had incestuous feelings toward his sister
Nah he wanted the same thing Manny wanted.. Her to get a doctor or lawyer or some type of nikka... Not another gangster...

shyt, he was remorseful as fukk when he found out they were married and not fukking.. When Gina was saying that shyt, he looked at her like she had 3 heads... He didn't know what the fukk she was on

He was just an over jealous cuban nikka
Its kinda crazy that Italian ass Al Pacino has been casted twice as a Latino and in this one had brown face and an over the tip accent:russ:
They don't really talk much, but I think the story in the beginning wasn't a lie. That his daddy was an American who came down, fukked momma, and dipped out. His sister was White as fukk too

There are very few movies with this type of 'mature' content and pure entertainment value with the same high technical level of filmmaking. Theres really nothing like it.

Maybe it was cliched for a while, but it holds up like a MF. It was taken far too seriously by some people. It flew under the radar that Oliver Stone wrote it as a satire of the cocaine 80s, immigration and film gangsters in general.

His accent and voice crack me up in this.

The movie is an unintentional comedy.

The scene where his sister gets shot but not before screaming "fukk me now tony!" Is still unsettling and weird asf because it makes you wonder if Tony had incestuous feelings toward his sister

The original in 1932 was very controversial at the time and I think banned in certain places because of the violence and suggestions that he had incestuous feelings towards his sister.

So the remake delves into that theme as well. Even before she said that to Tony, just pay attention how they change the music when it comes to their scenes together.

Then there was that deleted scene where Tony gets prepositioned by the gay Cubans in little havana. Was he really upset Manny married his sister or was he upset his Sister married Manny?

Carlitos Way>Scarface

I recently rewatched Carlito’s Way.

Excellent film, with some great scenes. De Palma did an amazing job with the train station scene, as well as the early drug deal/pool hall scene.

Sean Penn is also terrific in it. He didn’t get an Oscar nomination, but the category was stacked.

Best Actor in a Supporting Role

The guy playing the mob boss was a gangster in real life
