The problem here is that African-Americans have no other country to go to, to build up. The USA is OUR country so if we have 3 roles for every 10 African-Americans, they need to go to us. Immigrants and other displaced workers have agency no matter how needy they are just like the scabs who crossed union lines. The powerful companies were the big wrong and often the racist unions were wrong because they kept out many of those scabs, but ultimately if a group of people are willing to do the work that ensures the power brokers get to undermine us all, then they are also part of the problem.

This is the conversation we need to have. Pinky and the brain as you call them would argue that black America is the only one trying to look for "equality among people", while everyone else is trying to stake their claim for them and theirs and they're not completely wrong on that front either.
