na it’s never been connected globally like this ever in history

that can be a good thing but you know man will use it for evil

by that time the facial recognition & retina/ fingerprint shyt is going to be out of control. nobody will know what privacy feels like. and people will just accept it because they will be conditioned to be that way.
Yeah but it's just an extension of crazy connections that already had existed and changed the world. Even the highways are a level of connection unimaginable in most of human history. Visiting your family on the other side of the country for a summer was not a thing. Let alone telephones, TV, fax machines, movies have brought in other peoples ways of thinking as standard and provided a narrative for history. This matrix has already existed, the difference now is that individuals have the power to control the narrative

So early millennials? :beli:
This is why we say that people born in the 80s got the best of both worlds. We can remember a time with no real technology and we are young enough to have come of age when it took off. We were in school when pagers were a thing and we were still in school when the iPhone dropped. We remember grabbing AOL CDs at the counter in Blockbuster and dialup but we also grew up with high-speed internet. We were old enough to appreciate the web in it's early stages of fukkery and freedom in 99-00s and what it's become now with monetization and restrictions of everything. We experienced everything from ground zero.

Or this thing called a taxi or a bus.

Nope! Not where we were...

Sheeit - the bus didn't come to our part of town
Taxi might not come either if it was too late at night, and if it did it would take forever

Uber is a better version of taxis and buses but these things did exist for millions of people. All technology is doing now is making better versions of shyt that already exists, even if that means making it more accessible
