Is it just me, or does anyone else's skin look and feel super smooth and clear the next few days after shaving off a big beard
Not after normal routine shaving.. but when you've grown out a full beard for a few weeks or more, and then shave it.
The skin underneath be looking smooth and crisp as fukk I be loving it (for the time being until I want my beard back)

it may just be the stark difference from full beard to clean shave.
i rarely shave regularly, so i don't know what it's like to have a clean shave from day to day.

Letting mine grow now I haven't shaved in like two weeks. I usually rock the chin strap + goatee + mustache deal. Been wanting to try the beard but it always itches and got annoying..getting use to the feel I think now though.

It'll go away. And plus the more you start to repeat the process the more used to it your face will become and the less "itching time" you'll have to deal with each time the new growth comes back in.. again though, we're all different, I'm mainly just speaking from my experiences could work for you too though.

I'll give the white man this trend, because only a handful of nikka was rocking beards in the 90' up until 2 years ago. White girls love those bearded face dudes and somehow in the last 2 years its leaked over.

If you go through these chicks instagram or facebook before 2012 you'd be hard pressed to find them boo'd up with a nikka with a thick beard.


Don't let these women lie too you, they'll jump on these babyface nikka's in a heartbeat. In fact you put a bearded nikka next to a babyface nikka and watch who they take off the line up.

Thick beards are trendy right now, so I think your test would fail. 5 years ago no white college boys had beards, now they look like hipsters looked 2 years ago fully bearded with comb overs.

Nah, I don't. Just a regular pair of electric clippers will do the job unless you want a totally clean shaven face.
Used to always shave my face clean but fighting razor bumps got old. Anything to combat them only worked momentarily, and then stopped.
I just gave it up last summer and said screw it.
I've seen some guys around here suggest a straight razor, which is supposedly better on your skin as a black male, but I honestly never had the patience to pick it up and deal with it.

For sure, can you recommend a brand?
