If you could change just ONE thing about the average black owned business what would it be?

Stop overcharging.

Let the products and services you’re selling speak for themselves.

A lot of times it’s cut corners on quality and a whole bunch of talking to push the price up. Tired of the grifting.

I spent $100 at oyster hut in Houston for a total of 12 shrimp and 24 oysters. It was good but geez luiz. That’s a lot of money for something that won’t get you full(me and a date )

Gonna get hate, but appreciate the business more and not see your skin color as an entitlement to my business. I always try to keep the business to where the money might stay in the community. I'm not talking buying a burger. I'm talking accountants, experts, etc...

When I engage our folks, they always charge me at least double what the market is. So the conversation starts with some hustle shyt. I usually do business on that first occasion just to say I supported, but never again. Businesses have to think long term.

I don't run into this much
Which is something that boggles the mind. Everyone knows that Black folks in general are very price-conscious. Always been that way.

Once we get a whiff of an establishment being to expensive, we likely not going back. How many times have you heard your aunties be like:

"Harvey's? Shiiiid, They too high"

More mobile food options that you don't have to sit at a table to eat. TSU kid got a boudain balls business right outside the campus. Also a Soul Rolls soul food egg roll spot here. But outside of Houston, I haven't seen many options like this.

Better customer service.

Marketing the goods/service more than the owner(s)

The thing I dislike is that our Black Businesses lack funding, I wish they had more of that.

They have the "minority" business grants/loans, but the loans primarily go to Asians, Latinos, Middle Easters and every other Non-Black American.

It's funny to see these Pro-Black users taking time out to shyt on Black owned businesses:francis:
How is feedback shyttin on someone?

Don’t many other businesses ask you “how can we do better” or ask if you take a quick survey. Your feedback is important to us

Yall are sensitive as hell I swear.

Any “complaint” is an opportunity for success

The IG grass wall next to the register :martin:

If I’m at a soul food spot I don’t want to see Hennessy wings or smothered crab fries on the menu.

Cash-only spots because they don't want to pay transaction fees.

"We don't take cards, but there's an ATM over there by the door."

I'm not about to pay a lousy ATM fee just to get some food :camby:
Cash only businesses period makes zero sense. Random people selling shyt on the streets take cashapp now. Your big ass building having ass can take cashapp and other mobile payments :russ:

Better pricing. When I see "black-owned" on a product, I know I'm about to be fleeced for no real reason.

Nice sneakers, but that’s nuts.

Even in expensive ass San Diego, with the country’s HIGHEST inflation 2 dozen oysters aren’t that much.
