I sent a PM with more detail, but honestly, not that much in comparison to a lot of other companies that do the same thing in other parts of NC. The market I'm in is mostly a town that's dominated by 2 colleges and a bunch of people in the service industry. It's a beach city. But if I did my exact job in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, Charlotte, or in a major city out of NC, I could probably make 10-15k more per year without anymore responsibilities than what I do right now.I agree with all this! I lucked out and got a job in financial services so that was a blessing. How much are you making with the web design company if you don't mind me asking breh?
It's just considered a cost of doing business when you get to live at the beach. We deal with a lot of small businesses, and there just aren't as many here, eve though we do have some out of city/state clients. But I think the skills that I have, networking, etc, will make my next job definitely a lot better in terms of the salary. Right now I also make a good chunk of money on commission, and I make like $10-$11 an hour without it, so that part is really crucial. Top of every year is always pretty good, because people make resolutions to improve their websites, get new websites, work on marketing their website on Google more, etc. This January has been okay so far.
I have a lot of friends in financial services. Do you like it?
