Respected in the hood, by white people, blacks, west coasters, east coasters, Americans, Europeans, and all over. Kanye, Nicki Minaj, Wayne, Currensy, Rick Ross and a slew of todays most relevant artists name drop them or feature them on tracks because they are hip hop royalty. Lyrical deities and RZA's blueprint is legendary. These nikkas got classics upon classics and 20 years into the game they are still making music that resonates with avid hip hop listeners. For you to even insinuate that they are on the level of a Canibus or ICP exposes you as an unknowledgeable, uninformed idiot.

Nothing you have said has any impact on my musical taste, sorry. I mentioned Nikki, ICP and Canibus only to show the devotion their fans display which is similar to WU fans. Your blind devotion seems to be clouding your reading comprehension. Your name calling further proves my point. Canibus already battled the Wu for the record and held his own and some of the WU members are Canibus fans just for the record. So regardless of how you feel about him as an artist the WU respect his lyrics. But I'm sure he and no one else can compare to them in your eyes. That's your belief which is fine with me. But don't try to proselytism me!

Another thing is I'm not fond of the 5% message either. I guess a case can be made that I must not really like Hip Hop at all.

No, I'm not from the west coast I'm from the south but the culture was heavily west coast inspired. With that said radio in my area played everything but I gravitated more so to the west and south. The resume talk is what every fanbase says! Anyone can flaunt the accomplishments of the artist they love as proof of their greatness. Don't you understand that what you consider classic I may not because of my musical taste?
