It didnt catch on dummy

just broke bum wannabeez downloading cracked wannabe shyt

then they run it all thru hardware if they get signed

after the broke bum wannabeez make sum dough they spend the rest of thier time trying to buy up and get tutored on vintage hardware

dummy

another reason why your era sucks

wannabe producers

my era we dropped 5k on a sampler

hardware sound can never be reached with software

never

hardware always sounds better

especially asr10

I own 3

Oh...I get it...you want to feel justified because you dropped a shytload of money on some equipment. I get you now fam...why didn't you just say that.:beli:

I came from that 80's era of SP 1200's, drum machines, synthesizers and MPC's and I love the sound, it was the sound of my youth, but with the age of super high bitrate sampling and high definition sound, the flexibilty that today's producer has is immense and near limitless. Has it lowered the bar of entry, yes to some extent but also gives more aspiring producers a relatively low cost and effective way to make their beats.

ur fakin the funk

if ur a true producer you use hardware samplers and vinyl

computer program beatmaking is for wannabeez

losers

You're living in the past like retro fashion, friend. People are making careers, money and new sounds with computers. Computers are hardware. You combine a laptop with an AKAI MPK for example and you pretty much have the capabilities of an MPC in a portable form. But, friend, this can also be done with a keyboard. You can port MPC like pads to keys on your keyboard and do the same thing. The hardware just makes it a little easier. You're showing your ignorance for the capabilities of software in 2013 but i guess ignorance is bliss, friend.

LOL obviously you've been in a cave for the last 7-8 years. Anyone who understands the world of Analog and Digital to make this statement to me isn't a real musician or producer.

First off, it's NEVER the equipment that makes the producer. On top of that, people in '79-80 when drum machines started becoming a norm in studios it was looked at as satire or a ripoff to real musicians who laid down actual snare drums, kicks, hi hats, etc. Even Akai's MPC now runs strictly on software. I've never met a producer who came up on the MPCs, ASR-10s that have grasped Maschine, Logic and have gone back to 16 bit technology. It just makes no sense and if you're someone who's really trying to make a career, you gotta get with the times, especially for someone like me who hated routing Midi in my MPC to VSTs, it's a simple plug and play now with Maschine.

As far as you wanting an Analog sound, you can easily route your DAW into whatever analog board you have and record out from the Board to Pro Tools. It's done a lot in the industry.

9th Wonder uses an MPC now (never did before 2008) but as he says, if you can score 50 wearing a pair of Chuck Taylor's you don't need to go get a pair of Jordan's. I love hardware and vinyl, but don't act like good hip-hop can't be made on Reason, etc. The man makes the machine, the machine doesn't make the man.

For all the years I defended sampling my only response to you is that your statement can force someone to respond by saying 'if u don't know how to play an instrument then you aren't a real muscician." You do understand that for years producers who sampled had to hear that gripe right? So here u are saying that a person isn't a producer because they dont use old school vinyl......while the world has moved on to computer programing. Your statement sounds exactly like those musicians from back in the day who looked down on the sampling you so cherish.

Exactly.

Music and Music Production evolves and has never stopped. I can see an argument about the "music" itself maybe not be as organic as it used to, but you can't fault the equipment for that. If anything, Producers such as myself who came from the era of using Midi extensions from the MPC to Pro Tools and being able to run midi from VSTs into MPC finally have a much easier, quicker, and more efficient solution. Now, products like Maschine, Logic, and the new MPC software give producers the ability to work completely in the box and have all the tools you need without much routing if that at all.

I know several dudes who are still stuck on the SP1200 and Vinyl (I still use vinyl for sampling) and feel they don't need to progress. But the constant with all those guys I know is they're still trying to do shyt that takes them an hour to do that you can do with Maschine in literally 30 seconds without compromising the quality. Most of them as well as their music never leaves their room.
