This idea basically ruins the USP that makes Wu so dope.
But for a one off album I think the combo of GZA, Ghost & Deck would be interesting.

I respectfully disagree. 4th disciple coproduced hella songs with RZA. So me saying you can still capture that WU sound with him is a very logical statement to me.

That was tough. I wanted to say Ghostface but as of the original 36 Chambers ODB def grabbed my ear more.
Even as late as purple tape, my favorite ODB solos I like better than anything on that whole album. Of course Ghostface rocketed past ODB and almost any other MC period as he dropped gem after gem. ODB was RIP at a certain point but his latest stuff right before that, it wasn't getting better and better. So I'd imagine Ghost would have surpassed ODB either way.
Let's say RZA can make the beats and I get 3 strictly MCs.

I love Deck. I love GZA. But they don't exactly make actual hits. So I am thinking from the POV of 36 Chambers timeframe and which ones would give you the success that the full Wu had. But honestly no 3 man crew could do what the killa beez ended up doing. Swarming and all
