Well, in that case, I should clarify.
The NRA is one of the most influential political lobbying groups in the US; they speak for the 2nd-Amemdment "gun rights" people. Mostly white, very right-wing, very conservative.
They're usually responsible for stoking fears among paranoid, right-wing idiots of feds marching into people's homes and collecting their AR-15's.
They used people's latent fears and racism to promote the idea that President Obama specifically was hell-bent on taking their guns at any and every opportunity.
It's why the Sandy Hook shooting (one of the worst in US history) is held up by some idiots (Alex Jones) as a false-flag operation by Obama/Hillary/Democrats/liberals/etc. to repeal the 2nd Amendment and institute Sharia Law.

We should be taking notes from them on how to protect and further our agenda/beliefs.

I can't tell you how many videos I've watched about ammo "stopping power" where a redneck hick talks about 9mm not being enough to stop a "violent thug hopped up on drugs".

Not gonna defend comments like that, but we should take advantage of their efforts to unrestrict legal gun ownership and strap up. They are doing us a service intentional or not.

He tip toed around the Philando Castile verdict and while considers it an injustice, he downplays racism and tries use the "if we appeal with REASON, LOGIC, AND FACTS we win" argument in regards to debates concerning race. As if racism is logical to begin with.

This may be controversial, but the 2nd Amendment doesn't really protect your personal right to own a firearm for self protection.
It actually refers to the right for states to form their own militia groups independent of the federal gov't, and says that the Fed can't pass laws to ban guns to undercut these militia groups.
States don't have militias anymore; those have been superseded by the National Guard, which often operates under Federal directives.
The 14th Amendment's equal protection clause protects the gun rights of all private citizens, but especially black people. :kanyebp: People need to get off this "2nd Amendment" kick and learn some history.
