Don't call it Ebonics, that's what CACS call it. The correct term is either African American vernacular English, or as the poet Steven Willis says "American creole". I love this poem!

how does that make you bilangual when you're still speaking english?

Also I wish I could be there to watch people laugh in your face when you start using AAVE when they ask you to speak in your second language.
