Exactly not neccesarily a slight...I went to his timeline myself...and it sounds like its not really a discussion of what's talent and what's not,I didn't understand it first bcuz it seems like simple logic but maybe its not that simple

....if you think Kendrick makes great albums maybe you think he's a great ARTIST,but maybe you don't think he has the best bars and shouldn't be allowed to tell people about how he got bars...and how he killin everybody in the game on the mic as a RAPPER.So I don't think his tweet was about what most of us have been talkin about,but its a interesting convo...can you gas a rapper as a RAPPER,and preach his rap skills to the world if you can't quote em?you obviously don't appreciate them yourself as a rapper if YOU can't quote them(not u in particular)...maybe they just a great artist to you....so I think its just more of a challenge to differentiate why you actually like a rapper...and just because they CAN rap the answer is not always you liking them as a rapper...and thinkin about it I might have to be careful if I tell somebody s and so can rap if I can't quote em. I'm usually pretty consistent tho,if I can't quote you I typically don't hold u in that high of a regard
But a lot of these new nikkas might be gettin off by being great ARTIST...passing themselves off as great rappers to some of us
...I enjoyed that Wale album The Gifted,listened multiple times but I can't quote shyt as of right now...same with Gibbs to me
...I'm just tryna figure out which I fuk with more if it came down to a rapper I can quote with wack music vs the rapper I can't quote with great music...I gotta think about my listening history to answer that and think back to who stays in rotation longer
