Negro...you look at how he played overall and he played well.

Second, look at his head coach in Denver overall playoff record. The man's rbelow .500 playoff resume of failure pre-dates Melo ever stepping onto the NBA hardwood. Don't blame Melo for being coached under the first coach to take a #1 seed and lose to an 8 seed.

I'm sorry...I'm not the one bringing up the "first three games"....I'd bring up the entire series. For the series...he played well...but here you are making the series out to be "the first three games only." That's just plain out DUMB.

I didn't expect the Knicks to beat the Heat OR the Celtics the year prior. Yet you have people out there shaping the narrative about Melo holding the Knicks back. In what way? In series YOU don't even think they could win?

The series was 5 games long & he shyt the bed in the 3 most important games in the series. Ok my bad, ill give him credit for putting up 35 points & ONE assist in an elimination game BLOWOUT loss. How's that for finding the open man? :mjpls:

But since narrative is your favorite word lets describe the "narrative" you're trying to create. It's everybody else's fault but Melo's. So who we gon blame?

A HOF coach? Check.
Tough conferences & teams. Check.
Teammates. Check

Lets lower the expectations for Melo being competitive for most of a series just b/c he's not expected to win the series. He chokes in the decisive games, but give him a pass b/c he played with Mike Bibby.

He puts up a lot of points in TWO games & that equates to him playing well for a whole series? :stopitslime:

Those inbound plays cost you games though :wtf: and it happened more than once :whoa: isn't that Karl's fault?

down 2 with 30 seconds to go, so it wasn't set in stone we were going to win. but yeah, Anthony Carter's bum ass should've been on the bench. :manny:

But you think melo held you back? I'm confused on why you dislike melo he gave your team warning and made sure you got pieces back enough to be able to top seed in the west.:wtf:

LOL!!

Melo is at fault for the Heat being the better team. "he shyt the bed." So THATS why the Knicks lost to the Heat. :heh:

Melo is at fault for the unnamed series in Denver where his play hurt the team.

Amazing how you can bring up "HOF coach" and not tie what comes with that coach and his long list of failures.

Really? Who can ?Melo is a MVP candidate this season it's Brons presence that keeps him back. Cp3 never even got to the wcf which melo did , and kd couldn't even win more games vs the heat than melo but yes go on believing that

That lakers wcf series the nuggets were getting techs and couldn't inbound the ball when they were winning :why: yet Karl doesn't get any blame

No no no. This isnt about the Heat. Melo didnt play well in meaningful games in the playoffs. 3 of em. And watched as his team fell behind 0-3. Then puts up some points in TWO games which a box score reader like yourself equates into having a good series.

Why can't you have a discussion about Melo's inability to play well or win in the playoffs? :mjpls:

Why do you INSIST on changing the subject when I ask you directly: Why can't Melo play well in games that matter in the playoffs? Why does he have the worst winning percentage in NBA playoff history if he's an ELITE scorer? :mjpls:

Lemme guess you gonna go hide behind your corny narratives again. Clown

George Karl is the dumb ass who waited until it was too late to put the Glove on MJ.

Melo has been further than cp3 in the playoffs and cp3 is out of shape yet you obsess over melo :heh: you seem to really value second round losses in the playoffs :what: what difference does it really make if you aren't competing for a ring. Melo was able to win a game vs the heat same as the thunder :leostare:

Wait... So you can put up "empty stats" in a playoff win? I didn't know that was possible.

Edit: and what is this guy talking about. Melo played fairly well in game 2. He scored 30 on 46% shooting and had 9 rebounds. He had more rebounds than both Amare and Chandler. The problem was Landry freaking fields and Baron Davis were starters. Then the bench consisted of Bibby, Novak, Jeffries, and JR smith... Then. A bunch of players that didn't even step on the court except for timeout huddles.

So Carmelo really had 3 good games in that series. He just didn't have much of a supporting cast. That was also part of the problem in Denver. But Denver was a combination of bad coaching, average teams, bad play by Melo, and just playing better teams in the playoffs. To try to put it all on Melo is really bailing every other player and coach out that lost those same games as Melo
