:what:

Lebron put up 23 shots per game in 05, he put up 20+ shots per game in just about every single season he played in cleveland. It's not hypothetical, is you stupid? there's historical evidence that directly relates to him having more of a scoring mentality. it shows when he takes more shots, he scores more points. yet you're saying he's incapable of doing this and that if had more of a scoring mentality his PPG will go down...

:wtf:
Why are you even trying to argue ? You made your mind up that bron is the best scorer cool believe that but stop trying to convince people to agree with you . :why:
You believe what you want and I'll go with the nba personalities and players that say melo is the best scorer and you go with yourself :manny:

We have 7 full season of evidence that suggest otherwise. In 2013 he plays with Wade, Bosh and shooters....thats why he picks his spots. He NEVER had the chance to do so from 2003-2010.

Unless you're telling me that in '06 when Zydrunas Ilgauskas was his 2nd option that he was picking his spots and letting the game come to him? Or in '08 when Big Z was still the 2nd leading scorer?

31.6ppg 47% in 2006. 30.0ppg 48% in 2008. Both more prolific than any season of Melo's career. Hell, in 2005 at 20yrs he managed to pick his spots to a 27ppg on 47% season.

He's noticeably more well rounded now than he was then, so how exactly would he be worse if put back in that situation?

The east was weak as hell back then :dwillhuh: And like I said his fg % went down . And shooting more doesn't mean you had more of a scoring mentality he just shot more . You speaking on things we can't possibly fukking know like his mindset :dead: are you a psychic ?? I love when people argue hypotheticals like its facts

What you're saying doesn't make any sense. That's what I'm calling out. You're comparing a so-called uncharacteristic trait of bron (not having a scoring mentality - not picking times/spots to shoot) to 'what if melo passed as well as lebron', when melo has NEVER passed as well as lebron and lebron had more of a scoring mentality and less of luxury of picking his spots in cleveland.....

:mindblown:

You believe what you want and I'll go with the nba personalities and players that say melo is the best scorer and you go with yourself :manny:

Yup, you believe what is fed to you, and ill believe something that i came to on my own accord.

You're taking what I said completely out of context, I'm talking within the context of now. It's the laws of averages.

If you shoot more you will shoot worse. Is 47% worse than 56%?

And your selective stats are terrible strawman arguments at best. If over a long stretch of time he plays the game like a Melo or Kobe does, he WILL have a horrible shooting game just as those types of players are prone to do.

The fact he's averaging the lowest attempts per game since his rookie year and he has the highest field goal percentage he's ever had is by no means a shocker.

He had a worse team he had to shoot more :why: you guys list his horrible teammates yet you want him to pass the ball to them ?bron still picked his spots And looked to pass , look at those allstar team rosters back then .I don't care what anyone says the east was weak as hell and he had no real competition. The wizards was his first round matchup twice :flabbynsick:

If he played like Melo he'd be much easier to defend. You wouldn't have to consistently play his jump shot unless he's hot and you wouldnt have to consistently worry about the pass. What makes him so lethal is his insane athleticism and his ability to play like point guard. You take away one of strengths by having him play like Melo, he's not gonna be as good a player.

I missed this the first time around. I never proposed the question as playing like melo, but I said if he had a more of scoring mentality. He had more of a scoring mentality in cleveland, yet he didn't play like melo. He still managed to juggle scoring as his primary role with facilitating in cleveland. He wouldn't be easier to defend, if anything he'd be harder to defend, because it's been apparent all season long he rarely ever puts the pedal to the floor in the scoring department.

You're telling me if bron had more of a cerebral scoring-attitude throughout the entire season, (rather than just having that mentality in big/primetime tv/statement games) he'd be easier to guard?

I keeps it real breh, but we all biased. You biased for, I'm biased against Melo

He was still gunning in the 4th & it took a last second shot in the final minutes of the 4th after the game got outta hand for him to get to 40. nikka came into the 4th with 34 points breh. :heh: fukk Melo & his struggle shots

@KingJudah Players better than Melo not named LeBron

Durant
Westbrook
CP3
Wade
Kobe
Harden
Tony Parker
Steph Curry
Dirk

Melo :flabbynsick:
