I'm looking for lyricism on top of all that other shyt you listed. I can let it slide if they do have all the rest or something about them that can't be overlooked.

Alls I know is that I will never personally check for Lupe.

Who's ya favorite rapper?:leostare:

THis idea that lyrics were ever the priority back in the day is bullsht B

nikkaz acting like Biggie and Pac were hot cuz of lyricism
No fukk nikka

They was hot because of the very same reasons the OP mentioned

Lyricism is a factor but it aint the most important

WHy da fukk do you think I dont listen to nikkaz like Immortal Technique and sht?

Cuz those other factors are more of a priority

Its rap music not rap writing nikka

Young Dro - "Be Like That Sometimes" Feat Doe B (Day Two) - YouTube

I thought that was the worst song on the mixtape cause I couldn't get with that hook.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Who really cares about wondrous punchlines and multies and shyt nowadays. The flow, mood, charisma and beat are much more important. What the hell is lyricism anyway? Miss me with all that. Personally as long as the nikka aint saying a bunch of drivel on some Keef shyt or a bunch of corn on some Wiz Khalifa we good. If you want real lyricism come to grips with the fact that the bar has been lowered and you aint gonna get it. nikkas like Fabolous are considered lyrical even for goodness sake. :snoop: Just give it up and revisit your old Mobb Deep, Nas and Jigga records because those days are over believe it or not. shyt even revisit your old Buddens, LOX and Beanie Sigel shyt or at least check for nikkas like Wale and Freddie Gibbs. Stop expecting mainstream legends like Kanye or Drake to come through with some mind blowing lyrics.

I'll take these random tracks

Drake - The Motto (Explicit) ft. LIL WAYNE, Tyga - YouTube
ScHoolboy Q - THere He Go (Official Video) - YouTube
DOM KENNEDY "GRIND'N" - YouTube

etc.etc. over some bullshyt like

Lupe Fiasco & Guy Sebastian - Battle Scars [Official Music Video] - YouTube
or who ever the hell ya'll still checkin.

fukk outta here b :rudy:
Music is entertainment first. Don't ever forget that.

What's funny is every artist you posted, is considered pretty lyrical. Are you talking nerd rap. nikkas spitting bout the circumference of the universe and shyt?? Ok I'll give you that. That's played

But jayz is known for lyrics. So is Rick Ross, drake, even Wayne around the carter and carter 2, schoolboy and Kendrick, hmmmm who else is hot. J cole got bars. Kanye got bars when he want to. French spits some punch lines.

Keef and nikkas like that. They don't ever last too long cause they say NOTHING that anybody remembers. And soon you notice every song sound the same cause they have no range or vocab.

But how you gonna say lyrics don't matter then name nikkas who are known to spit, is amazing

Also biggie and pac were huge cause of their lyrics. Biggie is still seen as one of the greatest lyricist. Who could also cross over and do radio hits.

Pac...... Come on now. His lyrics made you want to rise up on some black power shyt. Then he flipped it and made you wanna be a thug. That's power in words. That's lyrics. U act like big and pac was soldier boy and juicy j

People can listen to whatever music pleases them. I fukk with your posts in higher learning about investment, but this is a silly thread op.
