Music is subjective but if you attempt to make a purely objective argument Nas probably has the strongest case

This is an interesting question because I know people who claim Hotter than July is Stevie's best album. At least one person on here iirc. I think Stillmatic would be his SITKOL but that's just me. What are we basing this off? Hits or musicality?
I think Stevie's influence on FBADOS culture is strong enough that every other entertainer's body of work in the culture can be traced over his run to figure out who really got the juice.

Where I'm Coming From
Music of My Mind =
Talking Book =
Innervisions =
Fulfillingness's First Finale =
*Songs in the Key of Life
Secret Life of Plants, we gone use this album as a free space.
Hotter than July

Everybody need five, but we can have eight as the most.

:jbhmm::jbhmm::jbhmm:
We basin' this off hits & musicality, that's why I think Stevie work for this kinda idea... 'cause like this the singles become part of the album experience again. Do the singles elevate the album or do the album cuts boost the singles in the sequence?

:jbhmm::jbhmm::jbhmm:
This is a good thread idea...

Honest question, who took what Nas did, and either ran with it or elevated what he did?

Post up actual songs.
Took me awhile to realize but it’s really Kendrick. Early on I’d rarely hear Kendrick mention him, he mentioned Jay more hence the feature/remix, but as he’s growing as a rapper you hear him shout Nas out. Don’t know if it’s based on actual growing up and listening to him or as he grew discovering his music… but Kendrick is prob closest in the new generation.
