Trying to differentiate bantus by country is like trying to differentiate hans chinese by province.bruh she's talking about their looks and the populations/ethnicities they RESEMBLE the most IN AFRICA. Not their actualTryi
As someone who lives in Asia you spend a considerable amount of time around Asians from certain places and you start being able to identity traits and characteristics and place people... same thing. Most humans don't even exercise this part of their brain anymore because of modern distractions but we are very adept at using facial features as markers because humans have had to do so for survival to tell friends from enemies.
All it showed was that we can't actually differentiate tho. Oprah? Zambia? She's from Benin. That's 2 USA's away. The Twitter thread is about helping black people understand how to differentiate between tribes by showing celebrities that we all know, who resemble those tribes the closest.
She’s not saying they are really from those tribes/Nations, and it’s supposed to be taken light-heartedly.

I don't think you're understanding what I"m trying to say. If she were using tribes, that would make sense but she's using countries, countries with artificial lines. Example if she said "Oprah looks Mande. Now see that would be impressive. Tyson looks kikongo, yep, because he is.
Just throwing out random countries doesn't actually help anyone or do anything.

ExactlyI think you're taking it a little bit too serious. The average person doesn't know what kikongo is or what specific African tribes look like. Her using countries where those tribes exists, even though some may overlap, makes more sense and therefore more entertaining.
Did something happen to make the Somali population drop by 2 million in 10 years?
Only Tigrays and Amharas are considered ethnic Habashas. Go tell a Somali or a Oromo that they Habasha and watch how quick they try to fight you.
Bruh, unless you actually been on the ground out there you can’t correct me on this. Habashas are just the most widely represented in terms of culture and they made up the majority of migrants out of the country. If you actually go to Ethiopia, especially the south, Habashas are a minority.
When she's saying a nationality, she just means one of the predominant groups in that particular countryAll it showed was that we can't actually differentiate tho. Oprah? Zambia? She's from Benin. That's 2 USA's away.
