Not even just achievements, but weight loss, a hair cut, you name it. Hell in 2015 I went to a wrestling show and one of my guy friends got mad and turned on me :dead:

Besides our mom I'm the best cook in the family and my sisters give me the :birdman:look.

I go to the gym and I get the :shaq2: face from them as well. They tell me I need to gain when actually I'm overweight by 20/25 pounds and tell me I think I'm better than them because I want to lose some weight :whew:

I can only imagine once my goals finally are reached the hate I'll receive :mjpls:

Above the fray.
Some good advice and info in the this thread. I'll top it off with these words.
Russell Simmons made this comment years ago and he repeats it a lot. He likes being in circles where he is the BROKEST dude in the room. That is, he's around people who have more resources than he does and he can learn from them.

The flip side of that are people who like being around people who are doing less than they are. Makes them feel like they are doing more than what they are actually doing.

There are drawbacks and traps to both extreme scenarios. I'd say that most of the pictures painted in this thread are closer to the latter scenario though. I say this because, if you are around friends and family who are discouraging you from doing positive things..and you still keep them in your circle, maybe it's time to check yourself. You might like the comfort of being the big fish in a small pond.

It's true. You start doing things towards your own passion and dreams and watch people drop off. Some people want you to stay in a rut with them or they see you as their sidekick.
