Is Lebron a phenomenal talent? Yes. Do I think he's gonna eventually win a title? Yes. Has he been the MVP deservedly multiple times? Yes. But when you're building a championship team you're playing chess, not checkers. You've got to see the whole board. And all that off the court nonsense that permeates around LeBron is just not worth it, because Durant is right there at #2 in the league to me.

I would have no doubt that Durant would want to stay and build a successful franchise long-term. Evidence with LeBron at this point is that he won't. Seems to me you'd have an easier time putting personalities around Durant than LeBron, and I still expect Durant to get better on the court too.
