I keep mine at 83. Never lower then 81. Anything below 81 feels cold in my home. I have a sauna. I have solar power. I also have an energy efficient home. Last year I got money back from my energy bill. At the rate I’m going this year already I’ll get back even more next year.
Here near DC I am working in the basement. The temp says 73 and I am too cold! It ain't the temp it is the humidity in the air.
Where I live we have central air and the humidity is low - especially on the first floor and basement. Where my sister lives - they have window units.
They steady blow those things at 67-68 but stay sweating because they are so inefficient and the moisture is high in the house.
