For him personally he will always live in the shadow of Foles until he wins a superbowl himself. Maybe it will be next year but that's the truth.
And win SB MVP

Nick Foles is nowhere near Joe Flacco status at this point stop it.

And it’s a big difference because you have to question whether the Eagles get the 1 seed(the biggest reason they got this far) if Foles has to play for a whole season.
I don't mean jealous of Foles at all. I'm just talking about being on the sideline watching your team win a game -- any game, let alone the fukking Superbowl -- without you. You gotta have some negative emotion there, especially when you were basically the MVP this season. You don't think Carson hasn't internally thought to himself at least once, "Well, damn, they won the whole thing without me, how valuable am I REALLY?"
I'm talking from just the human aspect anyway, I don't have a dog in the race as far as being a fan of the team or any team for that matter, or even the technical football aspect of it all. I can remember getting injured my last year in high school (I was probably the third best player on the team, not the best though) and watching them almost win in the state tournament without me. Can't lie and say I didn't at the very least have mixed emotions. Sad for my teammates/friends because we lost of course, but at least feeling a small bit of satisfaction from the idea that they lost because I couldn't play. Basic ego shyt.
You don't "have to" question that at all, sir.
You could just ride the hot hand...

Not when you have a franchise QB in place who was playing at an MVP level before getting hurt
Foles filled in admirably and will be paid elsewhere
Charlie Weis was just asked about this on the local Boston station...
He said he had the same thing in NY with Jeff Hostetler and Phil Simms. The next off-season they were going back and forth on who to start and they went with Hos.
He then said " if you ever want to see a Super Bowl team go 8-8 next year, name the back up your new starter"
