If you're in a relationship for more than 4 years and you're not married, what's the point?

Year 4.....is fair...

But I also think age is relevant to factor in as well.

For example, let's say you meet your spouse in hs at 17....
Then go to college and are still in a relationship....

Is 21 a good age to get married?
I don't think so...

At 21 people are still learning and figuring out who they are....

Now if someone is like 23 then gets into a 4 year relationship. Then year by 27, you should be ready to commit that.

Urge to cheat???

Is this like hollering at chicks or noticing fine ass women...because they don’t stop being fine just because you’re married...you just gotta have some damn self control and don’t let your interactions with these females get out of hand or get you caught up in some shyt.

I’m friendly ass hell with some women but I’m not doing no personal shyt with no female by myself cause people ain’t shyt.

As soMeone that believes in marriage, I can’t rock with this.

Relationships are all passing. Either by death or by choice. If you marry someone in year 4 divorce year 6 is it meaningless? What if you don’t get married in year 4 but otherwise have an almost identical relationship that ends in year 6, is that relationship inferior?

I believe in marriage as I want the official stamp of being a family under one name even just for 2 people. Then the same for kids. But it doesn’t validate a relationship for me.

Getting married is nothing more than getting the government EVEN MORE involved in your finances. It is just a guarantee that if yall break up, she can legally take something of yours with her to show for it
There’s a correlation between a decline in marriages and the stagnation of wages.

Maybe the government doesn’t want marriages because the economy is designed for single employees. If marriages were good for the economy you would have more homes available. How many TVs would be sold if there were not that many homes? McDonald’s would have lower revenues because a wife would have the husbands income at home and she would probably be cooking and cleaning.

If you want more marriages you have to look at the tax code. Have you ever paid a daycare bill? A good day care is the price of a Maserati.
