Why would leave A&M for USC?

A&M bring in more athletic dollars than USC. Only school bringing in more is UTexas. A&M is currently getting the best Texas athletes and play in the SEC. It's not like USC can out pay A&M. Because A&M generate more athletic money than USC. There is no state income tax and the cost of living is way cheaper.
:stopitslime: Kiffin came in making 4.2 mil, Sumlin JUST got a raise to 3.1 mil

also They generated that much money because of Manziel's stellar year, thats not the norm for them

That was USC fault for overpaying for a overrated coach that never proven anything but be the son of Monti Kiffen.:skip:

Yeah, USC is one of the top programs in country, but it's similar to basketball at UCLA. If you're not bringing the schools championships in a short amount, LA has no problem with pushing you out of town.

Just look at the way they did my man Kiffin :to:

At A&M, he doesn't have that same amount of pressure especially being the in SEC. Not to forget Texas has the GOAT football culture meanwhile he would be competing with the Lakers & Dodgers for the top teams in LA.

Regardless, I'm all for him going to SC if he can get them back bringing an actual crosstown rivalry between UCLA and USC (hasn't been one since the 80s) and helping the Pac 12 South become as competitive as the North.

the only downside to the SC job, is that it'd turn a considerable amount of pro style QB's from Southern California away cause of the offense he runs, he'd miss out on the Matt Leinarts,Carson Palmers and Matt Barkleys...and the SC Alums wouldn't like that all that much.

This is true. But Sumlin could go after those QB's if he wanted to in the Pac 12. Sumlin has kinda had to recruit like Oregon being in Texas(Houston,TAMU). Going to the Pac 12, and USC at that, he could switch it up.

USC will never win a National Championship with the new playoff system.

USC will never beat a SEC or ACC school in the playoffs.:heh:

:heh: Really breh never? If anything USC would have a chip or two more if the playoffs started a decade ago. We don't give a fukk about the SEC, make no mistake the sanctions are crippling us right now. The last time people tried that SEC is superior shyt on us we smashed Arkansas into oblivion.

Are cats really trying to argue that A&M is a better job the USC? :heh:

things change breh. Staying at A&M where winning 9-10 games a year and an outside chance at competing for the national title could be better than going to USC where they have scholly restrictions at the moment and maybe unrealistic expectations.

There is no doubt that we are hampered by the Sanctions, but A&M will never be the premier football school in their state or their conference. USC is both.

I'm well aware of who KEvin Sumlin is :upsetfavre: He was at OU when I was there. Manziel does have good targets, but he's deadly accurate from the pocket or on the run.

LOL @ comparing anything about Manziel to Tebow :russ: They're not even remotely the same. Do you realize Manziel CRUSHED Cam Newtons numbers from his amazing Heisman season? Do you realize he put up more yards passing/rushing against Bama than anyone else?

LOL @ comparing him to Timmy Chang.....a volume pocket passer in a weak conference with a weak arm.

C'mon dude. Manziel IS the QB everyone is saying he is and his numbers prove it. What YOU are trying to do is project him into the NFL and I'm not talking anything about that.

Yeah I know.

But Tannehill was a WR for most of his college career, right?

If Manziel goes to the other colleges recruiting him he would've been a backup to Mariota or a safety. If Sumlin didnt have Manziel he'd still have a QB with guady numbers. That's what y'all overlook so easily.

Lienart got downgraded for the talent around him, but y'all completely ignore that too with Manziel along with the fact that Sumlin has done this before except his QBs were less mobile. I've heard people trying to give Kingsbury credit for Sumlin's offense before too and as far as projection's go I don't do that shyt. I see the player as he is. He's not deadly accurate, the schemes give him tons of space to make throws along with his WR talent. He can move and he's quick, but the team that he does most of his fukkery against (bama) has a history of being terrible with running QBs. I ain't saying the kid ain't good, but he got lucky by getting sumlin and not the other way around plus there's 5 or 6 QBs off top that I can name that college coaches would take before Johnny
