A company wanted to charge me $150+ to take a Sec+ prep course.
I hopped on Udemy and took what was likely the exact same course for $15. I'm fully prepared to get this cert.

I also bought a gaming code dev course for $15 and am currently developing my first game. Its rudimentary...but I'm DOING it bretheren

The resources are out there. USE them and find time to develop yourself.

I fukked around and bought a course with some English mf talking and I couldn’t hang. I self study now. I downloaded like 6 CCENT/CCNA books and packetracer and I’m on a roll . I do fukk with Udemy tho. Copped some Python courses I been lampin on

For some positions, they are a prerequisite.
Basically, if you don't have them you're already at the bottom of the pile for hires

I doubt it. I highly doubt Udemy is considered an accredited education. It's a website where anyone can release a course.

Also Udemy is relatively new. People doing the hiring probably have not heard of Udemy and if they have, how do they know what your course covered and the quality of the content? They ain't looking it up.

Opposed to an A+ cert which is highly recognized (albeit very basic) and a College degree which is the baseline.

Make sure ya'll are on the same page. The Udemy certificate doesn't mean anything in the real world. It's just a pat on the head saying you did it. The A+, Sec+, CCNA, etc. certifications do hold weight and can land you a job, 6 figures, 6 Series, and 6 PAWGs.

There’s firefighter “certs” that prep you for actual written tests but it’s not an actual cert

I should've said: Udemy ain't nothing on a resume. Udemy can be useful to get certs.
