Idiots
I am convinced Black folk suffering from a new strain of Stockholm Syndrome.
The psyche of young black americans can be just fukking disappointing to say the least at times. I remember in highschool nobody black fukked with Lupe. I get it he not getting bumped at house parties but to just completely dismiss him as if he was a black Eminem or some shyt. I remember being told stupid remarks like "He not real". Literally one black breh fukked with Lupe, he wasn't a nerd, square nor c00n. He did grow up among cac kids. His mother had a good job and he was a skater. I guess his parents could have been divorced, he never brought his dad up. I never asked. I do live in the south but shyt, it's not like all the brehs and brehettes were country as fukk. J Cole did get fukked with though at my school. I guess Lupe lacked hedonism in his music. I remember everyone losing their shyt when a censored Chief Keef played at a pep rally lol :snoop:.

Stuff like this is why we don’t get taken seriously. You have black folks making a joke out of slavery, then we get mad when whites treat slavery as merely us working for free. Now black people have validated that talking point with these stupid joke. Good luck getting anymore confederate monuments removed.

I’m starting to be glad I don’t have kids.

We have never been taken seriously. It's not OUR fault or OUR doing. Black people have ALWAYS taken slavery seriously, white people do not , did not and will not. With or without the twitter jokes, that would still be true.

Stuff like this sure isn’t helping. We do not know how to be or stay on code. No other group jokes about their oppression.

Because every other group's oppression was taken seriously and again, that's something out of our control. I get so sick of black people thinking they need to act, dress, talk or behave in a certain way in order for white people to change their view on them. There's NOTHING we can do to change their opinion and actions.

I do get the point about not joking about slavery, but I didn't feel it was a jab to slavery, more than it was a jab at Kayne's idiotic remarks.

We shouldn’t be begging for white people’s respect period. But it’s ridiculous to get mad at whites for making a mockery of slavery when we’re doing it ourselves. Kanye is a rapper. He should not have such a major impact on us.

:hhh:

Now white people are using the hashtag to push their own talking point.

They pushed their talking points before, without a hashtag. They SHOW us everyday they don't give a fukk about slavery or the impact it's having on us a group, and a couple of twitter jokes is not going to change that.
