I'm a successful black man who grew up with poor parents in a tough part of town.
But my parents gave me the attention needed, the freedom to explore my dreams as well as fail within reason, taught me work ethic, and an understanding of what it means to be responsible and hold yourself accountable.
Because of that I was prepared when opportunity presented itself and because of that I was able to receive more opportunity.
I genuinely believe being prepared for opportunity and taking advantage of it is something that gets people ahead.
If you fail to recognize it or pass it up you aren't, especially as a black person in this country, guaranteed another chance.
All that's to say, dream big for once and get off this petty crusade over minimum wage jobs and your obsession with Hispanics. It's corny and honestly it doesn't help black people transcend their position.
Further, I don't really plan to be lectured by someone who I feel, based on your posts, is less successful.
You've gone very far off topic to attempt to be right.Nope. Are you suggesting that there weren't variances in slavery according to state and region?
There were definitely differences, especially when it came to identity and societal formation in those areas.
You should check out this book. Its pretty good.

I fell asleep around the second paragraph
You've never been woke.![]()
that comeback thoYou've gone very far off topic to attempt to be right.
What I've said is their differences in slavery conditions between regions in the US and outside would have no different affect on how they vote.
Twism13 and you through your defense are suggesting that illegal immigrants would be more racist because of slave conditions. Not taking into account who is likely to migrate illegally.
You're appealing to emotions without much logic.
Stay on topic.
Come on man. There's no discernible difference as they were a part of essentially the same slave trade.
No need to appeal to emotions here.

This is a stupid emotional argument.im not appealing to emotions, im just stating facts that latin america is just as racist against black people as the united states, it defies logic to think that people that immigrate from latin america are going to unite with black people to fight against white supremacy
you cant fight white supremacy with white supremacy, black people will end up being screwed with that strategy
and in fact it is you who is engaging in emotion by 1) some corny ass bio essay that made me fall asleep and which has no defense to the assertion of you being a coward 2) by trying to arouse sympathy for illegal immigrants when in instead black people should engage in cold, logical geopolitical analyses
They immigrate here because they have no interest in the foreign nations they came from. They're here to make America great. They should be represented. It's time for illegal suffrage. The right to vote and change a country and it's direction is something only citizens should have. This makes sure they aren't unwillingly beholdeb to foreign interest.

@newworldafro you can post your proof that millions of illegals voted in this thread if you want.

This is a stupid emotional argument.
Illegal immigrants shouldn't vote because they aren't citizens.
Permanent workers also shouldn't vote because they aren't citizens.
The right to vote and change a country and it's direction is something only citizens should have. This makes sure they aren't unwillingly beholdeb to foreign interest.
Further, it sets up an easy election manipulating issue.
The fact that you can't discuss anything without trying to make it merely about race just shows how out of touch with reality you are.
you really aren't smart.the thread topic is about race. the threadstarter said that we should let illegal immigrants vote to counteract the white republican vote
im simply pointing out that white supremacy is just as prevalent in latin american culture as in north american culture so thats why the idea of the threadstarter is not a good strategy
there is no emotion, its simple logic using simple historical facts
why are you trying to downplay racism and white supremacy in latin america? why are you suggesting that black people ignore the 500 years of black oppression in latin america in analyzing issues of immigration?
Perhaps these illegals left their Latin American countries to escape white supremacy. They're a reliable Democratic voting bloc. There's no reason they shouldn't have the vote.the thread topic is about race. the threadstarter said that we should let illegal immigrants vote to counteract the white republican vote

How is all this whining you do going to get you some money or advance yourself?
