Many rappers went back in the lab when Illimatic got leaked even before it dropped. Not necessarily to sound like it but to step up lyrical wise. A lot of you should shut the fukk up sometime and listen to ppl that were in the mix of the culture not by way of magazines.
LIKE WHO,WHAT CHANGED?

NAS gets unwarranted credit, due to the source sucking his dikk. Biggie and puff deserves more credit, because they were the Dons that brought the east back.

I really hate y'all west coast dudes

Excuse me:martin:?First of all take hate out of your heart. Your upset when what I said is based on what Nas himself said.

Nas' 25 Favorite AlbumsIce Cube Death Certificate

Nas: “Death Certificate is one of the albums that changed my life along with Down By Law, Criminal Minded and a few others. Death Certificate hit me at a time when I was hustling, when I was hanging with hustlers, when I was making life-changing decisions in my life. Death Certificate spoke to me. To this day, it’s one of the boldest, bravest, realest rap albums that will ever be made.”

and Cubes influence on Pac is easily seen and heard. Its more obvious with Nas in the latter part of his career.

Funny thing is 4 out of 5 of the albums that I said were more influential east coast albums than Illmatic,Nas actually puts in his list of favorite albums. While you have your pantys in a bunch like its unthinkable that there are 5 east coast albums that were more influential:martin:
