Public education is for everyone. That's why it's called public education.
I know this will shock you but there are kids out there that could give two rips about being educated. Yes, that reflects on their upbringing, etc. but facts are facts.

This is literally the single worst idea I have ever heard in my entire life. You're quite literally creating a caste system through which those with means have the ability to advance and move upwards and those without are doomed to live as dregs to be the fuel in the service machine for those living among the upper strata.
Like holy shyt this is the single most deluded thing I've ever heard and it's fukking hysterical that self proclaimed libertarians on here co-sign it when to do this you'd need to centralize all of this to a degree that's completely untenable OR deregulate it to the point where a degree literally means fukking nothing unless you spend $300K of money the overwhelming majority of the populace doesn't even have just so that we can claim that "everybody still gets an education". Which creates an oligarchy, which mirrors the fall of every major Chinese dynasty, Rome, Egypt, and any other society at the precipice of history.

Caste system? I basically described Germany's education system (except for the kick rocks part). As for online education, a caste system is impossible since everyone would have access to the same materials, etc. H3ck, there are youtube videos that do a great job of breaking down and explaining difficult topics.
All of those ancient societies went into decline b/c of too many wars, taxes, and depreciating currencies as a result. China suffered esp. due to its antipathy towards free trade of goods and ideas.
