I'm from São Paulo, specifically Heliópolis (biggest Favela in the city and the second biggest in Brazil after Rocinha) and I wouldn't fukk with Rio's morros and favelas. shyt is wild breh, they are on another level, constant shootous between factions, cops and militias. Today, on the north side of a town (same side of Morro da Formiga) a kid got clapped by a stray bullet. But I'm not from there and maybe I'm overreacting, you should wait and see if any carioca breh answer it with more details.

I am a huge fan of samba. Imperio da Tijuca is in morro da formiga and Madureira is home to not only Portela and Imperio Serrano but Jongo da Serrinha as well.
